Easy Fruit Tarts with our New Pidy Shells

Our new tart shells are versatile and tasty, making it a popular choice for many restaurants. Savory or sweet, the possibilities are endless. This time, however, we will focus on dessert tarts. A tart is a fantastic choice for dessert. And when you start with White Toque pre-made tart shells, it’s even easier to make this somewhat healthy treat. There are many ways to create fruit-forward and appetizing tarts that customers won’t be able to get enough of. Depending on the season, what looks and tastes good at the moment, you can mix up the fruit any way you like and come up with variations of the tart.

You can make mini strawberry tarts in a jiff. A dreamy mixture of cream cheese, lemon juice, and zest, and whipped cream are folded together before filling the individual tarts. Toss the fresh strawberries in sugar, just before topping the tarts, to give them just a hint of added sweetness.

This nectarine tart is about as easy as they come. Preheat oven to 425°. Arrange nectarine slices in each shell and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack 5 minutes. Drizzle with honey just before serving.

Create a light no-cook cheesecake filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together. Once mixed fill in the tart and add your choice of berry mixed in sugar.

For a heavier creme filling, mix mascarpone cheese, heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract together and let chill. Fill in the tart and add chocolate or caramel(even both!) drizzle on top. Don’t want to make your own filling? You can use our Bake Stable Lemon Curd filling instead for a light and citrusy flavor or go for our Butter Caramel filling for something more rich and decadent.

These ideas don’t take too long to prepare or use too many ingredients. What’s not to love? Stock up on White Toque tart shells and your customers will taste the difference.
